Rita (Mirly) Rees was born and raised in Cape county, attended Jackson High School and SEMO University (BS and Masters in Secondary Education Chemistry/Biology). She retired from teaching high school science in 2008 (1 year at Patton, 2 years at Perryville & 23 years at Jackson). With her husband Mark she has a son, Nathan and daughter Kelly along with their spouses and six grandkids.
During the summer of 2008, she started working part time at Environmental Analysis South and later that year, added one day a week at Cowboy Church to help out in the office.
At the encouragement of friends, she and Mark first attended Cowboy Church during the summer of 2004, and later joined in 2005. The simplicity of Worship, the opportunity for small group Bible study and the style of the music just made us feel at home from the beginning.
She feels very blessed to be among such a wonderful group of people whose emphasis is reaching those who want a relationship with Jesus. She loves learning more about how God’s Word applies to everyday life and am always humbled by prayer warriors that fill theses walls.
